 The past few weeks, I have been attempting to listen to 99.7 on my way to work. I like listening to the radio while going to work, a habit I have had for years since Lebanon. But 99.7 continues to disappoint me. This morning I had had enough.... they were playing romantic music in the morning!! The other day, country music!! Yesterday, they were playing RnB then suddenly went to slow then back to hip hop!! The mixing sucks, the choice of music is terrible, and the news is so boring. And recently they overdid it with the Audi advertisements, they have more Audi advertisments than they do music. I personally am a House Music fan, but like to here some RnB every now and then; I know they probably wont play any House music, and if they do I would gladly pass them some of my music. I hope they shape up cos they are the only english music station kuwait has. Labels: Music, Reviews |

I gave up on them. I started listening to 100.1 BBC.
Then three days ago I let myself check out what was playing on it and I gave up on it all over again. So its BBC again.

same here bug, gave them enough chances but they keep disappointing me. Am also listening to BBC but they dont always have interesting things.

Me tooooooooo, i'm gonna get hypertension cuz of them and cuz of the traffic...
And i always tell my friends the same...whats up with the audi advertising all year round every 5 mins??!!

This morning i remembered and said 2 myself why didnt i tell fonzy that?
Its VOA=Voice Of America
I've been listening 2 it for years, they might not play House all the time, but at least there's no arabic songs in between like marina, nor there's country music...
And they play the songs at a good time too, in the mornings till like 8pm, which they sometimes switch 2 english lessons, cuz this VOA is 4 the arabs...
Only on Saturday mornings they have Jazz on, but the rest of the week its everything thats good...
And every hour they have the news, and even the gossip news between songs is short and simple, and they have one the hosts her name is Margo something...she has like the sexiest voice....very husky but in a high pitch voice...not like Toni Braxton (thats the only example i could think of now)
And u can hear Margo usually in the early mornings, although I haven't heard from her in a while, she must be on vacation..
Thats the only station i listen 2, besides BBC and a bit of 99.7 when no one is on!
And even that Dr. Laboosh gets on my nerves!!! AAAAAARRRRRRGGGG i hate her, I dont beleive that she's pure american, she doesnt speak well, her voice is EW!!
Can't read properly, and always making mistakes and a slow reader, and the worst...HER LAUGH!!!

Did u know that it was named Super Station in 1994 by Talal Al-Yagoot that is now the manager of Marina 88.8?

About Me: In brief, I graduated from LAU in Lebanon with a double major in Busines Computer and Banking & Finance. Worked in many pubs and night clubs as a DJ, PR, and Security Comptroller. Now I'm in Kuwait.... been here since September 2005. Im working two jobs, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, and a third project is on the way, which will be a great hit if it works out and i sleep max 5 hours a day. Its a chilled life, mostly work, and occasional outings. In Kuwait, I use my brain cells, then go to Lebanon and burn them:D But one fact remains unchanged and will always be.... I MISS LEBANON!!!!!
