Update on Fady
August 02, 2006
So I went last night over to see Fady, he is at home now, and found him so helpless. He had broken his shoulder. He had his entire chest and back in a cast and the slightest movement to any part of his body hurts him; I simply touched his good shoulder and he was in pain. Turns out it was a pretty ugly accident. He was on Route 30 (Fahaheel Road) on his way back home driving 120 and a Black, fully tinted 2006 Yukon with Xenon lights was speeding like crazy and was stuck to him from the rear; he tried evading and letting the guy pass but apparently he was harassing Fady on purpose, cos wherever Fady went the Yukon followed. So Fady was going close to 200 trying to get away from the guy until he got to the exit to his house. Trying to take the exit, he looses control of the car and it starts spinning hitting the concrete walls on both sides of the road. The airbags opened up, the glass shatered, the whole car got destroyed; luckily, he was wearing the seat belt, which kept him alive. Now, he has to wear the cast for 5 weeks, after which he will be X-rayed and there is a possibility he has to operate, after which he will have to stay at home for 6 months. Lets hope it doesnt get to that. Get Well Fady. Hamdellah al Salameh.
