New Advertising Medium

While at Souk Sharq yesterday I noticed this new device at display outside Starbucks at Souk Sharq. It didn't have any advertisements posted but from the pics you can figure out how it works. Basically, pictures are placed on the transparent area on top which rotates at varying speeds. It has slots for four pictures and I guess with the speed it could look like a short film. I called Fady from Impact BBDO when I saw this and as usual, he had me picture it since he is always on the look-out for new advertising innovations.

u can see a working one at marina mall near second cup.

Yeah, the one at Marina Mall near 2nd cup had been working there for quite a while now and I must say, with its video ads, it sure does look unique.

fonzy... this medium was launched at the start of this year and a few of them were placed in Virgin for a few months and there is one now as the guys previously stated next to second cup. In my opinion it is a failed medium.

I like the video mupis at abc achrafieh. I dont know why they didnt get them here. Beats the plasmas, the walking plasmas, and these circular things anyday.

The video mupi is used for ads, news, headlines, business.

About Me: In brief, I graduated from LAU in Lebanon with a double major in Busines Computer and Banking & Finance. Worked in many pubs and night clubs as a DJ, PR, and Security Comptroller.
